Laughter Yoga

For my presentation in Laughter Yoga, I was assigned to interview 10 people about what makes them laugh. I decided to interview people that I know and found the interviewing process to be very successful. All interviews took place randomly and happened while I was already with the person in a different setting. I did not have any specific people in mind that I wanted to interview because I felt as though planning it wouldn't feel real so I just decided to go with the flow & not go out of the way to make it seem like an interview. Throughout the many conversations i've had with these people, I randomly asked them "What makes you laugh?" some of them were confused but I simply asked the question and they gave an answer. A couple of them would ask "What do you mean?" but I didn't change my question, I just repeated it. I did this because I didn't want them to feel limited or give them any guidelines because truthfully, there are none. Laughter is everywhere and despite the fact that one thing that makes one person laugh won't make another laugh doesn't matter. All that matters is we all have things that make us laugh or brings joy to us. Some people don't always think this way but with everything I've learned through this course and other things throughout my life's experiences, that is the truth simply told. Here are a few photos of the wonderful interviewees.

To the Tune of: Humpty Dumpty
Prouble and Solution: Child Abuse

Child abuse is so wrong,
Child abuse last so long,
Parent and child are alike,
Child abuse isnt right
Get out of the darkness and see the light
Love your kid and treat them right
Cause if you dont things will go wild
And you will regreat loosing your child

While brain storming ideas for my child abuse opinion, I was in tune with feelings I didn't realize were so strong. It was interesting, yet emotional to try and sum up all of my opinions about child abuse in a riddle because I had so much to say that I want to get across to others. I found the assignment to be more entertaining because I was looking at the issue from another standing point. It made me more appreciative about my feelings toward the issue. I also found it difficult because I had to state the issue and a solution in the riddle. This assignment is very useful because its a short and personal way to get the point across to others by putting it in a childhood related riddle.
